IPL uses broad-spectrum pulsed light and is not a true laser, making it less precise and generally better suited for lighter skin with dark hair. The Diode laser offers greater precision and effectiveness, particularly for light to medium skin tones. Thanks to its 1064 nm wavelength, Nd:YAG penetrates deeper while minimizing energy absorption at the skin’s surface. This makes it the safest and most versatile option for a wider range of skin tones, especially darker or tanned skin. At Diosa Aesthetics & Hair, we use Nd:YAG, which is considered the superior choice for safety, precision, and adaptability. Every treatment begins with a professional consultation and patch test.
